The total kit price for the SE-200 centrifuge includes all the major components required for an effective oil cleaning setup. Including the centrifuge, centrifuge mounting bracket, gasket, pump, pipe work assembly and service kit with spanner. You can tailor your selection however, to meet your exact needs by de-selecting items from the menu below. All the centrifuges have been designed to be dual purpose units suitable for both waste vegetable oil (WVO) and waste motor oil (WMO) cleansing. All are capable of removing water and filtering down to less than one micron. When used for the cleaning of engine lubricating oil you can dramatically extend service intervals due to the extended life of your lubricating oil.
If you intend to filter WVO oil to be used in the production of Bio Diesel these centrifuges make excellent final stage polishing systems to ensure you have the cleanest of oil. Best results are achieved when the viscosity of the vegetable oil is less than or as close to that of engine oil at normal engine operating
Securing the SE-200 centrifuge
All of the three sizes of centrifuge come supplied with a high quality punched gasket. The base of the SE-200 centrifuge is machined flat and has four drilled fixing holes to facilitate securing the centrifuge firmly in place.
About the Pipework
Also available is a pre-assembled pipe work kit which consists of a pressure gauge, safety over pressure release valve, a 1/2 BSP adapter and all the fittings required to be able to connect easily and safely to your centrifuge. Alternatively if you wish to make your own pipe work assembly you may wish to purchase just the 1/2 BSP adapter, if you do decide to make up your own pipe work assembly please ensure a suitable safety pressure release valve is fitted to primarily ensure your own safety and secondly to prevent the possibility of damage to your centrifuge.
About the Pump
One of the most important factors to getting good results from a centrifuge is the oil pressure and flow rate. The SE-200 centrifuge can handle up to a maximum of 17.5 litres or roughly 5 gallons per minute with a pressure range of 45-90PSI. However we suggest you use a pump that will deliver an output in the range of 60-85PSI at 17.5 LPM when using the SE-20 for the best results to be achieved. Any pressures in excess of 90PSI are likely to damage the centrifuge rotor assembly. We recommend the use of our CE approved, GM, high-viscosity gear pumps designed specifically for use with lubricating oils this pump is ideal because not only is it self priming but it incorporates an adjustable pressure bypass valve making it easy to set your pump to the desired pressure for optimum centrifuge working conditions. All seals within the pump are made from Viton to withstand all forms of vegetable oil contact. We do not currently supply a pipe to connect the two together as this is a simple job that you will most likely want to do yourself because of the varying lengths required depending on your own individual needs however, if you inform us of the length required we will happily return you a quotation upon request. The second most important factor is the viscosity of your oil, the thinner the oil is the better the results you will achieve, so warming the oil to aid thinning will help to increase performance and gain more pleasing results.
